A delicious Argentine dish featuring melted Provolone cheese, served with chimichurri for dipping.

Ingredients

  • 1 wheel Provolone cheese
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh herbs (like parsley and oregano), chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Slice the provolone cheese into thick pieces and place them in the skillet.
  3. Cook until golden brown on one side, then flip and cook the other side until melted and bubbly.
  4. Prepare the chimichurri by mixing minced garlic, chopped fresh herbs, olive oil, vinegar, salt, and pepper in a bowl while the cheese is cooking.
  5. Sprinkle with crushed red pepper flakes and serve immediately with chimichurri on the side.

Notes

For extra flavor, adjust the garlic and herbs in the chimichurri to match your taste. Enjoy with fresh bread or vegetables.
