A delightful appetizer combining sweet pears and savory blue cheese on toasted baguette slices, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

  • 1 baguette, sliced
  • 2 ripe pears, sliced
  • 4 oz blue cheese, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
  • Fresh arugula or spinach for garnish
  • Olive oil for drizzling
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil.
  3. Toast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes until golden.
  4. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
  5. Top each toasted slice with a slice of pear and a sprinkle of blue cheese.
  6. Drizzle honey over the top and sprinkle with walnuts, salt, and pepper.
  7. Garnish with fresh arugula or spinach before serving.
