  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl. Gradually blend this dry mixture into the creamed mixture.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Spread half of the cookie dough into the prepared baking pan.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of peanut butter over the dough and swirl gently with a knife.
  8. Spread the remaining cookie dough over the peanut butter layer.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Allow to cool before cutting into bars and serving.

Notes

Chill the dough for 30 minutes for an even texture. Store in an airtight container to maintain freshness.
