A refreshing homemade peach ice cream that captures the essence of summer with sweet, ripe peaches.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh or frozen peaches
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 egg yolks

Instructions

  1. Combine the peaches, sugar, and vanilla extract in a blender until smooth.
  2. Heat the cream, milk, and salt in a saucepan over medium heat until warm.
  3. Whisk the egg yolks in a separate bowl.
  4. Slowly add the warm cream mixture to the egg yolks while whisking continuously.
  5. Pour the egg yolk mixture back into the saucepan and cook until thickened, about 5-7 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in the peach puree.
  7. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for a few hours.
  8. Churn in an ice cream maker according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  9. Enjoy immediately or freeze for later.

Use ripe peaches for the best flavor and ensure the mixture is well chilled before churning.
