A refreshing dish of marinated octopus with lime, cilantro, and red onion, perfect for summer gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound octopus, cleaned and sliced
  • 1/2 cup lime juice
  • 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1-2 chiles, finely chopped (to taste)
  • Salt to taste
  • Tortillas or tortilla chips for serving

Instructions

  1. Boil the octopus in a pot of salted water for about 30-40 minutes, or until tender. Drain and let cool.
  2. Once cooled, cut the octopus into bite-sized pieces.
  3. In a bowl, combine the octopus, lime juice, red onion, cilantro, chiles, and salt. Mix well.
  4. Let the mixture marinate for about 15-30 minutes in the refrigerator.
  5. Serve chilled with tortillas or tortilla chips.
