A delightful blend of earthy mushrooms and creamy Swiss cheese, this quiche is perfect for any meal and a family favorite.

  • 1 pie crust
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream or milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and add the diced onion. Cook until softened.
  3. Add sliced mushrooms and cook until golden.
  4. Whisk together eggs, heavy cream, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  5. Place the pie crust in a pie dish and spread the cooked mushrooms and onions evenly on the bottom.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded Swiss cheese on top of the mushroom mixture.
  7. Pour the egg mixture over the cheese and mushrooms.
  8. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the quiche is set and lightly golden on top.
