  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, sugar, and brown sugar until smooth in a large bowl.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture; mix well.
  5. Gently fold in the blueberries, lemon zest, and lemon juice.
  6. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

Use fresh blueberries and real lemon juice for the best flavor. Chill the dough for 30 minutes to enhance the flavor and shape.
