Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb thinly sliced beef (ribeye or sirloin)
  • 1 cup kimchi, chopped
  • 4 slices of cheese (provolone or American)
  • 4 soft rolls or hoagie buns
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Mix in a bowl the soy sauce, gochujang, sugar, garlic, and sesame oil. Add the sliced beef and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add the chopped kimchi to the skillet and stir-fry for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  4. Place the beef and kimchi mixture on each roll and top with a slice of cheese.
  5. Cover the skillet to melt the cheese for a minute.
  6. Serve warm and enjoy your Spicy Kimchi Bulgogi Cheesesteak.

Notes

Marinate longer for deeper flavor and customize by adding sautéed onions or peppers.
