A comforting dish featuring tender chicken coated in a sweet and tangy honey mustard glaze, perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lb chicken breast (about 4, 6 oz. pieces)
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ¼ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ cup dijon mustard
  • 2 Tbsp butter (melted)
  • 2-3 garlic cloves (minced)
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • Optional: 2 Tbsp corn starch and 4 Tbsp cold water

Instructions

  1. Pat your chicken dry with a paper towel.
  2. Sprinkle the salt, pepper, oregano, onion powder, and paprika over the top, covering the chicken.
  3. Whisk the honey, dijon mustard, garlic, and melted butter together until smooth.
  4. Pour the mixture over the chicken, covering them as much as you can.
  5. Close and cook on LOW heat for about 180 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  6. Check in at 120 minutes if possible.
  7. When the chicken is cooked, you can pull it apart into large chunks or completely shred it.
  8. Add the cream about 30 minutes before serving and stir into the sauce.
  9. To thicken the sauce, whisk the cold water and cornstarch together until smooth.
  10. Stir it into the sauce and allow it to heat at warm or low setting for about 30 minutes to thicken.
  11. Once to desired thickness, serve!

Notes

Use fresh garlic for enhanced flavor and let the chicken rest before shredding for juicier results.
