Gluten-Free Smashburger Grilled Cheese with Special Sauce

A delicious twist on the classic grilled cheese, combining the flavors of a smashburger with a special sauce, all gluten-free.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices gluten-free bread
  • 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 2 slices cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons special sauce
  • Butter for grilling

Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Form the ground beef into two patties and smash them onto the skillet.
  3. Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on one side, then flip and place a slice of cheese on each patty.
  4. While the burgers are cooking, butter one side of each slice of gluten-free bread.
  5. Once the cheese is melted, remove the patties and place them between the slices of bread, buttered side out.
  6. Grill the sandwich in the skillet until golden brown on both sides.
  7. Spread the special sauce on the inside of the sandwich before serving.
