- 1 ½ cups gluten-free all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
- ¾ cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- Coarse sea salt for sprinkling
- In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- In a separate bowl, mix gluten-free flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the yeast mixture and melted butter to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Divide the dough into small pieces and roll each piece into a bite-sized ball.
- Boil a pot of water and add baking soda. Drop the pretzel bites into the boiling water for about 30 seconds.
- Remove the bites and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle with coarse sea salt.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
