A simple and delicious recipe for gluten-free meatballs coated in a sweet grape jelly sauce.

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup gluten-free breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup grape jelly
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, gluten-free breadcrumbs, chopped onion, egg, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  4. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until cooked through.
  6. In a saucepan, combine grape jelly and barbecue sauce over medium heat. Stir until the jelly is melted and the mixture is smooth.
  7. Add the cooked meatballs to the sauce and stir to coat.
  8. Serve warm as an appetizer or main dish.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add some red pepper flakes to the meatball mixture.
  • These meatballs can be made ahead of time and frozen for later use.
  • Serve with toothpicks for eating at parties.
