A delicious and crispy gluten-free version of the popular Panda Express Orange Chicken, perfect for a spring dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup gluten-free all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup gluten-free soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp grated ginger
  • 1 tbsp orange zest
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix gluten-free flour, cornstarch, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. Dredge the chicken pieces in the flour mixture until well coated.
  3. Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat and fry the chicken until golden brown and crispy.
  4. In a separate saucepan, combine orange juice, honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, and orange zest. Bring to a simmer.
  5. Add the fried chicken to the sauce and toss to coat evenly.
  6. Serve hot with rice or vegetables.
