A delicious and easy recipe for gluten-free baked ham and cheese mozzarella sticks, perfect for a spring snack or appetizer.

  • 8 ounces mozzarella cheese sticks
  • 4 ounces sliced ham
  • 1 cup gluten-free panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose gluten-free flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cut the mozzarella cheese sticks in half.
  3. Wrap each piece of cheese with a slice of ham.
  4. Set up a breading station with three bowls: one with gluten-free flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with gluten-free panko breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Dip each ham-wrapped cheese stick first in the flour, then in the egg, and finally in the panko breadcrumbs, ensuring they are well coated.
  6. Place the coated mozzarella sticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
