Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh ginger root, peeled and chopped
  • 2 lemons, juiced
  • 1-2 tablespoons honey (optional, for sweetness)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • A pinch of turmeric (optional, for extra health benefits)
  • A pinch of black pepper (optional, helps absorb turmeric)

Instructions

  1. Peel the ginger root carefully using a spoon or a small knife.
  2. Chop the ginger into small pieces for easier blending.
  3. Place the chopped ginger into a blender along with fresh lemon juice and water.
  4. Blend everything together for about one to two minutes until smooth.
  5. Pour the mixture through a fine strainer or cheesecloth into a bowl.
  6. Stir in honey for sweetness if desired.
  7. Add turmeric and black pepper if using, and mix well.
  8. Pour the ginger juice into small bottles or shot glasses.
  9. Store in the refrigerator and shake well before drinking.
