A healthier twist on the classic Snickers, these frozen banana treats are a delightful combination of bananas, peanut butter, and dark chocolate.

Ingredients

  • 2 medium ripe bananas
  • 4 tbsp peanut butter (or nut/seed butter of choice)
  • 4-5 tbsp dark chocolate, melted
  • 1/4 tsp coconut oil
  • 3 tbsp chopped peanuts (or other nuts/seeds)
  • Pinch of flaky sea salt

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Slice each banana in half lengthwise, then cut each half into two pieces for a total of 8 slabs.
  3. Spread about 1/2 tablespoon of peanut butter on each banana piece.
  4. Top with chopped peanuts and a pinch of sea salt.
  5. Melt dark chocolate mixed with coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl in short bursts until smooth.
  6. Drizzle or coat each banana slice in melted chocolate.
  7. Freeze for at least 60 minutes until the chocolate is set.

Notes

For a sugar-free option, consider using stevia, monk fruit, or allulose as sugar substitutes. Store in the freezer for up to a month.
