A decadent Dark Chocolate Ganache Tart with a crumbly crust and rich chocolate filling, perfect for celebrations and gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 8 ounces dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine flour, powdered sugar, and salt in a mixing bowl.
  3. Add the chilled butter and mix until crumbly.
  4. Stir in the egg yolk and form a dough.
  5. Roll out the dough and press it into a tart pan.
  6. Prick the bottom with a fork.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden.
  8. Heat the cream in a saucepan until just simmering.
  9. Pour it over the chopped dark chocolate in a bowl and let it sit for a few minutes.
  10. Stir until smooth and add vanilla.
  11. Pour the ganache into the cooled tart shell.
  12. Allow it to set in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
