A delightful side dish of thinly sliced, layered potatoes infused with garlic and butter, baked to crispy perfection.

Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes (Russet or Yukon Gold)
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh herbs (like thyme or rosemary), for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Wash and peel the potatoes, then slice them thinly (about 1/8 inch thick).
  3. Combine melted butter and minced garlic in a mixing bowl.
  4. Grease a baking dish with some of the butter-garlic mixture.
  5. Layer the potato slices in the dish, brushing each layer with the butter-garlic mixture and seasoning with salt and pepper.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 45-60 minutes, or until the potatoes are golden and crispy on the outside.
  7. Garnish with fresh herbs before serving. Enjoy your fancy side dish!

Notes

For a variation, cheese can be added between layers for extra creaminess.
