Irresistibly crispy chicken nuggets that are perfect for any family gathering or casual night in.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko recommended)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken pieces in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Combine flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika in a bowl.
  3. Remove chicken from buttermilk and coat each piece in the flour mixture.
  4. Dip it back into the buttermilk.
  5. Coat with breadcrumbs.
  6. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  7. Fry the chicken nuggets in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes per side.
  8. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.

Notes

For maximum crunch, consider double-dipping chicken pieces in buttermilk and breadcrumbs. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
