A delightful Asian-inspired dish combining creamy coconut milk and zesty lime, perfect for quick weeknight dinners or special gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 14 oz firm tofu, drained and pressed
  • 1 can (13.5 oz) coconut milk
  • Zest and juice of 2 limes
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cut the tofu into cubes and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the tofu cubes and sauté until golden brown on all sides.
  4. Whisk together coconut milk, lime zest, lime juice, soy sauce, maple syrup, and cornstarch in a bowl.
  5. Pour the coconut mixture over the tofu in the skillet.
  6. Simmer for about 5-7 minutes or until the sauce thickens.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh cilantro.

Notes

Press the tofu well to remove moisture for better texture. Use fresh lime juice for enhanced flavor.
