Ingredients

  • 1 cup protein powder
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the protein powder, almond flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the applesauce, honey (or maple syrup), almond milk, and eggs.
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients until well mixed.
  5. Pour half of the batter into a greased cake pan.
  6. Sprinkle a layer of cinnamon on top of the batter.
  7. Pour the remaining batter over the cinnamon layer.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let it cool before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For a vegan option, substitute eggs with flax eggs.
