  • 2 cups powdered sugar (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Mix together sugar, brown sugar, and vegetable oil in another bowl. Add eggs, pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla extract, and mix until combined.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Divide the batter among the cupcake liners.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let cool.
  7. Beat cream cheese and butter together for the frosting, then gradually add powdered sugar and pumpkin pie spice until smooth.
