Chocolate Pistachio Tart

A decadent dessert that combines rich chocolate and nutty pistachios in a buttery tart crust.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 oz bittersweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1/2 cup unsalted pistachios, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup pistachio paste
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix flour, cocoa powder, and powdered sugar in a bowl.
  3. Add softened butter and egg; mix until dough forms.
  4. Press dough into a tart pan and bake for 15 minutes. Let cool.
  5. Heat heavy cream until it just simmers. Pour it over chopped chocolate and let sit for a minute. Stir until smooth and pour over the cooled tart shell.
  6. Mix pistachio paste, sugar, and vanilla in another bowl. Gently fold in half of the whipped ganache. Spread pistachio cream over the ganache layer.
  7. Top with remaining ganache and sprinkle with chopped pistachios.
  8. Chill the tart for at least 120 minutes before serving.
