Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a muffin tin or line it with paper liners.
  3. Mash the ripe bananas in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
  4. Add the granulated sugar and creamy peanut butter to the mashed bananas, mixing until well combined.
  5. Pour in the vegetable oil, and add the eggs and vanilla extract; whisk until fully incorporated.
  6. Sift together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
  7. Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  8. Fold in the chocolate chips gently, ensuring they’re evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  9. Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about 3/4 full.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  11. Allow the muffins to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Use overripe bananas for better flavor. Avoid overmixing to keep muffins fluffy.
