A delightful fusion of Italian and Mediterranean flavors, featuring tender chicken in a lemon and caper sauce, served with pillowy gnocchi.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 thinly sliced chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons capers
  • 8 ounces gnocchi
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the flour with salt and pepper. Dredge the chicken in the flour and shake off the excess.
  2. Heat the olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté the chicken until golden brown and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  3. Add the white wine, lemon juice, and capers to the same skillet; simmer for a few minutes.
  4. Stir in the remaining butter until melted.
  5. Cook the gnocchi according to package instructions.
  6. Add the gnocchi to the sauce and toss to combine.
  7. Serve the chicken topped with the sauce and gnocchi, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

Use fresh lemon juice for a more vibrant taste and ensure the chicken is thinly sliced for even cooking.
