Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 loaf French bread (cut in half lengthwise)
  • 3 cups cooked and shredded chicken
  • 1/3 cup Buffalo sauce
  • 8 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese (shredded)
  • 2 green onions (thinly sliced)
  • 1/3 cup butter (melted)
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (finely minced)
  • Ranch dressing (or blue cheese dressing)
  • 1/4 cup blue cheese (crumbled, optional)

Instructions

  1. Slice the loaf of bread in half lengthwise. Place cut side up on a large baking tray.
  2. Stir together the melted butter, garlic, and parsley. Brush over the cut sides of the bread.
  3. Turn on the oven’s broiler on low. Broil the bread for 4 minutes or until slightly golden brown. Set aside.
  4. Change the oven temperature to 375°F.
  5. Add the shredded chicken and buffalo sauce to a bowl, tossing until coated.
  6. Mix in the cream cheese, half of the cheddar and mozzarella, and green onions until combined.
  7. Spread half of the chicken mixture on each piece of toasted bread.
  8. Sprinkle with reserved cheeses.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the cheese melts.
  10. Top with blue cheese (if using) and green onions. Drizzle with ranch or blue cheese dressing. Serve immediately.

Notes

For best flavor, do not rush the toasting process. Adjust the spice level to your preference by varying the buffalo sauce amount.
