A comforting twist on classic mac and cheese with tender macaroni, creamy cheddar sauce, and vibrant broccoli.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz macaroni
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook macaroni according to package instructions.
  2. Add broccoli florets during the last 3 minutes of cooking.
  3. Drain and set aside.
  4. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  5. Stir in flour and garlic powder and cook for 1 minute.
  6. Gradually whisk in milk and cook until thickened.
  7. Remove from heat and stir in cheddar cheese until melted.
  8. Combine the cheese sauce with the macaroni and broccoli, stirring until well coated.
  9. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  10. Serve warm.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 2 months.
