A warm, comforting Baked Spaghetti & Meatballs dish that embodies the spirit of family gatherings and Italian cuisine.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 24 oz marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2025 small cooked meatballs
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley or basil, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Boil spaghetti in salted water until just al dente, drain and toss with olive oil.
  3. Sauté onion in olive oil until soft, add garlic and cook briefly. Stir in marinara sauce and Italian seasoning, season with salt and pepper.
  4. Add meatballs to sauce and let simmer for a few minutes.
  5. Layer half of the spaghetti in the baking dish, then half of the meatballs and sauce, topped with a mix of mozzarella and Parmesan. Repeat layers.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, then remove foil and bake for another 10–15 minutes until cheese is golden and bubbly.
  7. Let rest for 5 minutes, top with parsley or basil, and serve hot.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Can be frozen for up to 3 months.
