A quick and recipe for orange chicken that is gluten-free and tastes just like your favorite takeout.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup gluten-free flour
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce (gluten-free)
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, minced
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix gluten-free flour, cornstarch, salt, and pepper.
  2. Coat the chicken pieces in the flour mixture.
  3. In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the coated chicken and cook until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together orange juice, honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger.
  6. Pour the sauce over the cooked chicken in the skillet.
  7. Stir to coat the chicken evenly and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  8. Garnish with green onions before serving.

Notes

  • Serve with steamed rice or gluten-free noodles.
  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey.
  • For extra flavor, add red pepper flakes for heat.
