Indulge in a Decadent Plant-Based Delight

Ingredients

  • 1 cup dates, pitted
  • 1 cup almonds
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil, melted
  • 1 cup dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1/4 cup coconut milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a food processor, blend the dates and almonds until a sticky mixture forms.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of a tart pan to form the crust.
  4. In a bowl, mix peanut butter, maple syrup, melted coconut oil, and a pinch of salt until smooth.
  5. Spread the peanut butter mixture over the crust evenly.
  6. In a saucepan, melt the dark chocolate with coconut milk over low heat, stirring until smooth.
  7. Pour the chocolate over the peanut butter layer and spread evenly.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
  9. Once set, slice and serve chilled.

Notes

  • For a nut-free version, substitute almonds with sunflower seeds.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to a week.
