A classic comfort dish that combines tuna, noodles, and a creamy sauce for a hearty meal.

  • 2 cups egg noodles
  • 1 can (12 oz) tuna, drained
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the tuna, peas, cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Add the cooked noodles to the mixture and stir until well combined.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. If desired, sprinkle breadcrumbs on top for added crunch.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a healthier version, use whole wheat noodles and low-fat soup.
  • This dish can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
