Deliciously sweet and moist blondies infused with the rich flavor of ripe bananas.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the mashed bananas and melted butter.
  3. Add the brown sugar, egg, and vanilla extract to the banana mixture and mix well.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  6. If using, fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add chopped nuts or spices like cinnamon.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
