Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes
  • 1 cup of grated cheese
  • 1/2 cup of chopped green onions
  • 1/2 cup of breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Boil the potatoes until tender, then mash them in a bowl.
  2. Add salt, pepper, and garlic powder to the mashed potatoes and mix well.
  3. Take a portion of the mashed potato mixture and flatten it in your palm.
  4. Place a spoonful of grated cheese and chopped green onions in the center.
  5. Fold the potato mixture over the filling and shape it into a patty.
  6. Coat each patty with breadcrumbs.
  7. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  8. Fry the patties until golden brown on both sides.
  9. Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels.
  10. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
