  • 4 ounces cream cheese, cubed

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish lightly with butter or cooking spray.
  3. Combine the sliced strawberries with ½ cup of granulated sugar in a bowl and let sit for about 10 minutes.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and the remaining ½ cup of sugar in another bowl.
  5. Pour in the melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract, then stir until smooth.
  6. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  7. Spoon the strawberries and their juices over the batter.
  8. Scatter the cubed cream cheese evenly across the top.
  9. Bake for 40-45 minutes until the top is golden brown and the strawberries are bubbling.
