A delightful combination of churros and cheesecake filled with fresh strawberries, perfect for summer gatherings.

  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup strawberries, pureed
  • 1 package of churro dough (or pastry dough)
  • 1/4 cup cinnamon sugar
  • 1 cup whipped cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, and pureed strawberries until smooth.
  3. Roll out the churro dough and cut it into small squares.
  4. Place a spoonful of the cheesecake filling on each square and fold the dough over to seal.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Roll the bites in cinnamon sugar while warm.
  7. Serve with whipped cream on the side.

Notes

For firmer cheesecake filling, refrigerate the mixture for 30 minutes before filling the dough. Avoid overstuffing to prevent leakage during baking.
