Delightful, gluten-free burgers wrapped in cabbage leaves, perfect for meal prep and family dinners.

  • 1 small head Cabbage (cut into thick slices)
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil (for brushing)
  • 1 pound Ground Beef or Turkey (or ground chicken or plant-based options)
  • 1 medium Onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 large Egg (optional, for binding)
  • 1 cup Cheese (for sprinkling on top)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Brush the cabbage slices with olive oil and arrange them on a baking sheet.
  3. In a skillet, heat oil over medium heat and sauté onion and garlic until translucent.
  4. In a bowl, combine ground meat, cooked onion and garlic, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, and egg (if using).
  5. Form the meat mixture into patties and place them on top of the cabbage slices.
  6. Sprinkle cheese over the patties.
  7. Bake for about 25-30 minutes or until the meat is cooked through and cabbage is tender.
  8. Carefully remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For best results, ensure all ingredients are certified gluten-free. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days in the fridge.
