A delicious and nutritious morning treat that combines oats and apples for a wholesome breakfast.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 2 apples, diced
  • 1/2 cup milk (or non-dairy alternative)
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, diced apples, milk, honey or maple syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs and then add them to the oat mixture.
  4. If using, fold in the chopped nuts.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown and set.
  7. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
