  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons honey (for frosting)

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for frosting)
  • Additional lavender for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a cupcake pan with paper liners.
  3. Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.
  4. Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy in a large mixing bowl.
  5. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then add honey and vanilla extract.
  6. Gradually add dry ingredients alternating with milk. Mix until just combined.
  7. Fold in culinary lavender.
  8. Spoon the batter into cupcake liners, filling each two-thirds full.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  11. For frosting, beat the softened butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar, honey, milk, and vanilla extract.
  12. Frost cooled cupcakes and garnish with dried lavender if desired.
