A refreshing, creamy no-bake dessert served in mason jars, combining the tartness of Key limes with rich cream cheese for a perfect summer treat.

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 7 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup bottled lime juice
  • Zest of 1-2 limes (to taste)
  • 1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Whip the heavy cream with 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar in a mixing bowl until soft peaks form.
  2. Combine softened cream cheese and sweetened condensed milk in another bowl and mix until smooth.
  3. Add bottled lime juice and lime zest, stirring until fully incorporated.
  4. Fold in the whipped cream until combined.
  5. Prepare the graham cracker crust by mixing crumbs, 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar, and melted butter until crumbly.
  6. Layer the bottom of mason jars with the graham cracker mixture.
  7. Spoon a layer of the key lime filling over.
  8. Repeat with another layer of graham crackers and then filling, finishing with filling.
  9. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 120 minutes to let flavors meld.

Notes

This dessert can be prepared in advance and stored in the fridge for up to 3 days. It’s ideal for summer gatherings and can be made with sugar substitutes for those watching their sugar intake.
