- 1 cup gluten-free cornmeal
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese
- 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled chorizo
- 1/4 cup diced jalapeños
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup water
- Oil for frying
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cornmeal, cheese, chorizo, jalapeños, cilantro, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
- Add water gradually until the mixture is well combined and holds together.
- Form the mixture into small balls.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Fry the balls until golden brown on all sides.
- Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
