  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 cup baking soda
  • Coarse sea salt for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add olive oil and salt to the yeast mixture.
  3. Gradually mix in the gluten-free flour until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough for a few minutes until smooth.
  5. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  7. In a large pot, bring water and baking soda to a boil.
  8. Divide the dough into small pieces and shape them into bites.
  9. Boil the pretzel bites in the baking soda water for about 30 seconds.
  10. Remove and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  11. Sprinkle with coarse sea salt.
  12. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
