A delightful dessert combining the crispy texture of kunafa with the sweetness of chocolate-covered strawberries, all gluten-free.

  • 1 cup kunafa pastry
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup strawberries, washed and dried
  • 1 cup dark chocolate, melted
  • 1/4 cup crushed pistachios (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the kunafa pastry with melted butter until well combined.
  3. Spread the mixture evenly in a baking dish and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  4. While the kunafa is baking, melt the dark chocolate in a microwave or double boiler.
  5. Once the kunafa is done, let it cool slightly, then break it into small pieces.
  6. Dip each strawberry into the melted chocolate, then roll in the kunafa pieces.
  7. Place the chocolate-covered strawberries on a parchment-lined tray and sprinkle with crushed pistachios if desired.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to set the chocolate before serving.
