A delightful and cute dessert that is gluten-free and inspired by kawaii culture.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup glutinous rice flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sweet red bean paste
  • Food coloring (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine glutinous rice flour and sugar.
  2. Add water gradually and mix until smooth.
  3. If desired, divide the mixture and add food coloring to create pastel colors.
  4. Steam the mixture for about 20 minutes until it becomes sticky and translucent.
  5. Let it cool slightly, then knead the dough on a cornstarch-dusted surface.
  6. Divide the dough into small pieces and flatten each piece.
  7. Place a small amount of sweet red bean paste in the center and fold the dough over to seal.
  8. Shape into cute forms as desired.
