- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 1 cup maple syrup
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for frosting)
