Delicious gluten-free pastries filled with cream cheese and cherries, perfect for breakfast or dessert.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups gluten-free all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup cherries, pitted and halved
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine gluten-free flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the cream cheese, milk, egg, and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
  6. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut into squares.
  7. Place a spoonful of cherries in the center of each square and fold the corners over to form a pastry.
  8. Place the pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Let cool before serving.
