Delicious and crispy mozzarella poppers coated in a sweet maple glaze, perfect for a gluten-free snack.

  • 1 cup gluten-free breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose gluten-free flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix gluten-free breadcrumbs with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. In another bowl, whisk the eggs.
  4. Coat each mozzarella stick in gluten-free flour, dip in the egg, and then roll in the breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Place the coated mozzarella poppers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  7. In a small saucepan, heat maple syrup over low heat until warm.
  8. Drizzle the warm maple syrup over the baked mozzarella poppers before serving.
