Delicious and creative gluten-free croissant cones shaped like carrots, perfect for a festive treat.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups gluten-free all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Orange food coloring (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the gluten-free flour, sugar, and salt.
  2. Add the cold butter and mix until crumbly.
  3. Dissolve the yeast in cold water and add to the flour mixture along with vanilla extract.
  4. Knead the dough until smooth and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  5. If using, mix in orange food coloring to achieve the desired color.
  6. Roll out the dough and cut into triangles.
  7. Roll each triangle from the base to the tip to form a cone shape.
  8. Place the cones on a baking sheet and let them rise for another 20 minutes.
  9. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Let cool before serving.
