- 2 cups gluten-free all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 3 cups apples, peeled and sliced
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix the gluten-free flour, butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg until crumbly.
- Press half of the mixture into the bottom of a greased baking dish.
- In another bowl, combine the sliced apples, lemon juice, cornstarch, and remaining sugar.
- Spread the apple mixture over the crust in the baking dish.
- Sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture on top of the apples.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
- Allow to cool before slicing into bars.
Notes
