Gluten Free Apple Crumble

A comforting dessert made with tart apples and a crunchy topping of oats and almond flour, perfect for gluten-free diets.

  • 4 cups apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup gluten free oats
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup butter or vegan butter
  • Optional toppings: custard, ice cream, caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the sliced apples with half of the brown sugar and the spices, then place in a greased baking dish.
  3. In another bowl, combine gluten free oats, almond flour, remaining brown sugar, and butter until crumbly.
  4. Spread the crumble mixture over the apple filling.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes until apples are bubbly and topping is golden.
  6. Serve warm with custard, ice cream, or caramel sauce.

Notes

For a healthier option, use sugar substitutes like stevia or monk fruit. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
