  • 1/3 cup brown sugar (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish. Place the cubed bread in the dish.
  2. Whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl. Pour the mixture over the bread cubes, ensuring they are well soaked.
  3. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
  4. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) the next morning.
  5. Mix together the brown sugar and additional cinnamon in a small bowl. Sprinkle this mixture over the soaked bread.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden and set.
  7. Serve warm, optionally with syrup or fresh fruit.
